Blue Stilton Wheel, 1.9 kgRegular price Rs. 10,900.00
The King of English cheeses, Stilton has been made in England for centuries. Known for a fudgy, buttery crumble with a mineral tang. The ivory paste is veined with blue-green, tangy mold, imparting a bold yet sweet pepperiness.
The exterior Stilton rind is natural and can be eaten, but has a characteristic rough and hard texture, unlike the creamy melt-in-the-mouth interior which it is famous for.
Enjoy simply with some port wine, honey and poached pears, or in a creamy blue cheese sauce.
This Stilton is 1/3 of an entire wheel, cut horizontally. Put it out for a party and let your guests dig in, or cut it into smaller wedges, wrap them tightly in the included FD cheese paper, and share with your friends and family. Always store your wrapped cheese in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consume within a few days.
Suitable for vegetarians. Country of Origin: UK.
Net Weight: 1.9 Kg
About Ford Farm Cheesemakers:
Ford Farm is located in the rolling Dorset Downs of Southwest England. It is one of the few remaining traditional farmhouse cheddar makers, using methods and recipes that date back many hundred years. They use the highest quality milk, sourced from local, free-range dairy herds. The cheddars are aged and graded regularly by in-house graders to check their progress, and released when they have achieved optimum flavour.
