Munkebo Herring in Tomato Sauce is a boneless fillet, freshly caught, seasoned, cooked and canned with the tangy fresh flavour of tomato.
This style of herring is often enjoyed on crispy rye or sourdough bread with some capers and pickles, popularly known as 'Smørrebrød' in Denmark. It also works beautifully in a salad, sandwich, pasta, or a quick snack with some crackers.
